Balloon Volleyball

Materials needed:

• Balloon or soft ball

• String or tape to mark the boundaries of the playing area.

• Soft objects like pillows or cushions to act as "nets" or boundaries.

Instructions:

1. Set up the playing area:

Use string or tape to mark the boundaries of the playing area. You can create a rectangular shape or use existing furniture as boundaries.

2. Divide into teams:

Split the participants into two teams. You can have an equal number of players on each team or adjust it based on the number of participants.

3. Serve the balloon:

One team starts by serving the balloon to the other team. The serving team gently hits or taps the balloon into the air, aiming to get it over the "net" and into the other team's side of the playing area.

4. Keep the balloon in play:

The receiving team must try to keep the balloon from touching the ground by hitting it back over the "net" using any part of their body except their hands. They can use their feet, head, or any other body part to keep the balloon in play.

5. Rally back and forth:

The teams continue to rally the balloon back and forth, trying to keep it in the air and prevent it from touching the ground on their side of the playing area.

6. Scoring:

Each time a team fails to return the balloon over the "net" or it touches the ground on their side, the opposing team earns a point. You can set a specific number of points to determine the winner or play for a certain amount of time.

7. Rotate positions:

After each round, rotate the players' positions to ensure everyone gets a chance to serve and play different roles.
