Instructions:

       1. Introduction (5 minutes):

               - Gather the children in a circle and explain the purpose of the activity: to practice assertiveness skills through interactive training cards.

              - Emphasize the importance of expressing thoughts, feelings, and needs confidently and respectfully.


       2. Setting the Ground Rules (5 minutes):

              - Establish a set of ground rules together with the children.                      Examples may include:

                             - One person speaks at a time.

                             - Listen attentively to others.

                             - Use kind and respectful language.

                             - Encourage everyone's participation.


       3. Scenario Creation (10 minutes):

              - Explain that the children will create their own assertiveness training cards.

              - Provide each child with index cards or small pieces of paper.

              - Ask them to write down assertiveness scenarios on each card. Examples may include:

              - Someone asks you to share your toys, but you don't want to.

              - You have a different opinion from your friends and want to express it.

              - You want to ask for help with a difficult task.

              - Someone is teasing you, and you want it to stop.

              - Encourage the children to be creative and come up with various scenarios.


       4. Training Card Practice (30-40 minutes):

              - Once the children have created their training cards, shuffle them and place them face down in a pile.

              - Each child will take turns picking a card from the pile and reading the scenario aloud.

              - After reading the scenario, the child will act out an assertive response to the situation.

              - Encourage the child to use confident body language, clear communication, and respectful tone.

              - The rest of the group will observe and provide feedback on the assertiveness skills demonstrated.

              - Rotate turns so that each child has an opportunity to practice assertiveness with different scenarios.


       5. Reflection and Conclusion (5-10 minutes):

              - Summarize the key assertiveness strategies discussed during the activity.

              - Ask the children to reflect on what they have learned about expressing themselves confidently and respectfully.

              - Discuss practical ways they can apply these skills in their daily lives.

              - Express appreciation for their active participation and willingness to practice assertiveness through the training cards.
