Flexibility

Flexibility is the ability to move joints and muscles through a full range of motion.

Here are a variety of practical activities to support the development of flexibility in home educated children. These activities are playful, engaging, and help improve range of motion, reduce stiffness, and support overall physical health.

1. Stretch & Reach Game

  • Use poses like:Cat-Cow (spine flexibility)
    Butterfly (hip flexibility)
    Downward Dog (hamstrings and shoulders)
    Cobra (back and chest)

3. Dance & Flow

  • Freestyle dance to music with slow, flowing movements.

  • Include stretches between songs.
